“I have no other offers”

The number two rule of negations is that you should never show all your cards at once. Tech recruiters might inquire about what you’re looking for and if you entertained any other offers from potential employers. It’s entirely up to you how much information you divulge about your past employment and current job search, but consider keeping certain details private. If you mention you’ve received no offers recently, assumptions might be made about your professionalism and ability to sell yourself. This can sometimes impact the type of jobs you qualify for.

“I might be going back to school.”

Uncertainty about your future endeavors can put a large roadblock in front of your employment search.
