Job Description:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Reagent Manufacturing Associate to join a growing team in a laboratory setting. This individual will play a crucial role in the manufacturing of reagents, assembly of kits, and ensuring compliance with established standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities, a solid understanding of laboratory practices, and the ability to contribute to cross-functional activities in a collaborative environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Manufacture reagents and assemble kits in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Document all reagent manufacturing activities while adhering to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Perform routine lab maintenance, including cleaning, equipment upkeep, and inventory management of materials and supplies.
- Assist with troubleshooting of manufactured reagents and address issues as they arise.
- Recognize and report situations requiring further evaluation, including safety concerns, process issues, or personnel-related matters to the Laboratory Supervisor.
- Document corrective actions when deviations from established protocols occur.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve reagent manufacturing SOPs and forms.
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely and qualified reagent delivery.
- Assist with inspection preparation activities as needed.
- Conduct experiments independently with minimal supervision and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, always maintaining a focus on safety and protocol adherence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field with at least 1 year of industry-related laboratory experience; or an Associate’s degree with at least 2 years of industry-related laboratory experience.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and instrumentation, including pH meters, conductivity meters, mixers, pipettes, Qubit, Nanodrop, and Tape Station instruments.
- Previous experience in a GMP-compliant laboratory, clinical laboratory settings, or high-complexity laboratories preferred.
- Exceptional focus on detail with the ability to follow procedures precisely and identify discrepancies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and management, both in writing and verbally.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to take initiative and address issues effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a good sense of humor.
- Hands-on experience with formulation of solutions or buffers in bulk is a plus.
- Familiarity with documentation of reagent manufacturing activities is preferred.
- Clinical laboratory experience or equivalent high-volume laboratory experience is preferred.
- Previous experience working with laboratory equipment such as pH meters, conductivity meters, and mixers is a plus.
