Position: Software Developer
Location: Lexington, MA (Onsite)
Length: 3+ Year Contract

Interim Clearance Sufficient to Start

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develops application software. Writing and implementing efficient code.
Researches, designs, develops and implements software applications and systems.
Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
Evaluates, designs and implements interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, cloud offering, system architecture, security and characteristics of overall system.
Researching, designing, implementing and managing software programs.
Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications. Determining operational practicality.
Documents testing, client experience and maintenance of system corrections.
May partner and collaborate with cyber security teams to ensure compliance with security standards.
May develop and conduct unit tests.

Qualifications:

Strong academic or professional background in software development to include experience working with code of varying degrees of maturity
Proficiency in MATLAB, an object-oriented programing language (e.g., C++ or Python) and shell scripting
Familiarity with undergraduate engineering level introductory physics (Mechanics and Electricity/Optics) and associated mathematics
Experience running physics-based software and performing subsequent data analysis to reveal an understanding of underlying phenomena
Position requires the candidate to possess a BS/BA in Physics, Engineering, Applied Math or Computer Science

Preferred:

Previous experience with air defense sensor, detection/tracking, command/control or mission planning model development and/or testing. Preference will be given to candidates whose experience includes AFSIM based model development and analysis.
Comfortable operating in both Linux and Windows environments, to include Virtual Machines
Familiarity with verification and validation of simulation models
Background in data visualization and display toolkits/methodologies
An ability to take guidance and work within a small team, while working independently to achieve individual goals. Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to excel under limited guidance
