Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support GMP manufacturing operations within a pharmaceutical environment. This individual will play a key role in developing, updating, and managing critical GMP documentation during an active phase of a manufacturing project. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and will be fully onsite due to the critical path nature of the work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Author, revise, and maintain GMP documentation including:
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Work Instructions
- Manufacturing manuals and related documentation
- Update existing SOPs and author new procedures as needed
- Ensure all GMP documentation remains accurate, compliant, and audit-ready
- Collaborate directly with manufacturing and operations teams to support documentation needs
- Support documentation activities related to fill/finish manufacturing processes
Qualifications:
- 5–8 years of Technical Writing experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
- Strong experience writing and managing:
- SOPs
- GMP documentation
- Work instructions
- Manufacturing documentation
- Experience supporting fill/finish processing or filler manufacturing environments
- Proven experience managing GMP-controlled documents
- Strong understanding of GMP processes and regulated manufacturing environments
- Experience with batch records
- Exposure to manufacturing operations on the production floor
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
