About this Job
Location: St Pauls, NC
Length: 6+ Month Contract
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proactively learn the assigned business and organizational structure to build relationships, grow partnerships, and achieve results.
- Partner with the HR team to strengthen teamwork across the business and corporate structure.
- Build critical relationships across HR to support business needs and help evolve a high-performing culture rooted in inclusion, creative debate, accountability, and trust.
- Collaborate with Centers of Excellence to leverage expertise, data analytics, tools, consistency, and compliance in organizational change efforts.
- Execute talent plans supporting performance management, talent development, and organizational changes.
- Partner with leadership to understand critical talent needs and help managers forecast, develop, and implement plans to grow or acquire needed talent.
- Use data and metrics to guide talent planning and execution.
- Facilitate change through a robust and participative approach.
- Manage and develop two HR generalist resources, maximizing their potential.
- Work in both office and manufacturing environments; may occasionally perform job responsibilities outside the typical office setting.
Qualifications:
- Experience working onsite at a manufacturing facility supporting exempt and non-exempt employees.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or master’s degree strongly preferred.
- Ability to solve problems using data, analytics, and storytelling techniques.
- Familiarity with lean and continuous improvement systems.
- Proven success working with senior leaders in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing projects, organizational design, and transformation efforts.
- Ability to adapt to change in a collaborative, fast-paced culture.
- Demonstrated success designing and implementing changes using a consistent framework.
- Adept at coaching, advising, and influencing leaders on HR-related issues and appropriate solutions.
- Strong employee relations background.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal labor laws.
- Workday experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing or using a mouse for extended periods.
- Ability to move around an office environment and organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials.
- Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks.
- Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, including in meetings and phone calls.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.
