Position: Flexera/Flexnet Team Lead
Location: Dallas, TX (remote OK with 20-30% travel to Dallas)
Length: 6+ Month Contract

Job Description:
 Provide technical and operational support for enterprise software license infrastructure and vendor managed licensing environments to ensure availability, license compliance, and user provisioning.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain solutions using FlexNet Operations, FlexNet Embedded, and FlexNet Manager Suite based on licensing and software asset management needs.
  • Architect and implement licensing workflows, entitlement management processes, and product packaging models.
  • Integrate FlexNet platforms with ERP, CRM, cloud-based applications, integration platforms, and internal business systems.
  • Collaborate with business, ITAM, Infrastructure, and Deployment teams to gather requirements and deliver effective licensing solutions.
  • Oversee server setup, Beacon configuration, database preparation, and agent deployment for FlexNet Manager Suite environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across licensing, entitlement, and SAM systems.
  • Ensure FlexNet implementations are compliant, scalable, reliable, and performant.
  • Perform license file updates, reauthentication, and configuration changes required by vendor licensing models or renewals.
  • Administer and support cloud-based license managers, user assignments within license portals, remote dongles, entitlement systems, and other licensing mechanisms.
  • Conduct monthly license hygiene and cleanup activities based on usage and compliance reporting.
  • Maintain Windows, Linux, and UNIX server environments supporting Flexera tools.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance to support continuous SAM process improvement, automation, and data quality.

Qualifications:
  • Deep hands-on experience with Revenera/Flexera tools, including FlexNet Manager Suite, FlexNet Operations, and FlexNet Embedded.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models, entitlement management, license compliance, and software monetization strategies.
  • Experience with APIs, scripting, SQL, IIS, and multi-operating-system environments.
  • Ability to design and manage hybrid environments; experience with containerized platforms such as AKS or EKS preferred for senior-level roles.
  • Experience with SSO, SAML, and OAuth authentication integrations for Flexera environments.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, firewalls, proxies, and load balancers.
  • Experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar tools.
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
  • Experience with Azure Automation, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar automation/CI tools.
  • Data modeling and normalization skills, with experience using reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
