Digital Prospectors Volunteers at OutFITters for Families in Transition
On October 21, Digital Prospectors volunteered at OutFITters Thrift Store in Manchester, NH.
Owned and operated by nonprofit Families in Transition (FIT), the OutFITters Thrift Stores in Manchester and Concord sell new and gently used furniture, housewares, books, and clothing and are a revenue stream for FIT.
We strongly believe in the mission of Families in Transition. To that end, Digital Prospectors helped stock shelves, receive donations at the loading dock drop off zone, set up displays, sort through donated clothes, rake leaves and clean up trash in the parking lot, and prepare brochures for Families in Transition.
“We thank Families in Transition for the opportunity for our team to volunteer in its donations center,” said Digital Prospectors President Jessica Catino. “It allows us the ability to give back to our community in a tangible, meaningful way.”
Between them, the two OutFITters stores generate more than $100,000 in annual revenue, 100% of which goes to support FIT housing and services for the homeless in Manchester and Concord.
In addition to providing low-cost essentials to families in need, Families in Transition participants are given vouchers to the store upon entering FIT housing so that they can purchase basic living necessities.
