Our client is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing support in their daily tasks and identifying growth opportunities.
- Review and provide feedback on their work to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Design digital and analog circuits, components, and subsystems, including detailed specifications and analysis.
- Develop circuit, component, subsystem, and equipment interfaces, and generate procurement specifications.
- Assemble prototypes for circuit interconnection or subsystem integration.
- Define design objectives, specifications, and resource requirements for projects.
- Recommend testing strategies, control measures, and appropriate equipment for product validation.
- Collaborate with customers, contractors, and marketing teams to ensure smooth project execution and deliverables.
- Lead design reviews and technical meetings to ensure thorough evaluation of all design elements.
- Address anomalies encountered during production, manufacturing, testing, and customer deployments.
- Stay updated on advancements in electrical engineering techniques and methodologies.
- Monitor and track project status, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Develop proposals detailing cost, schedules, and technical approaches.
- Manage personal workload and electrical engineering tasks effectively.
- Maintain and support existing electrical network infrastructure and production tools.
- Provide support for production processes, including toolsets and networks.
- Foster a positive work environment, demonstrating initiative, integrity, and resilience under pressure.
- Act as a mentor and instructor for team members, ensuring project and departmental goals are met.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 7 years of experience, or a Master’s Degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and testing embedded hardware systems that support Linux and Android OS.
- Proficiency with PCB design CAD tools (i.e., OrCAD and PADS).
- Solid understanding of DC power supply topologies (i.e., Buck, Boost, SEPIC, Flyback, LDO) and hands-on circuit design experience.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and their integration into embedded systems.
- Ability to select appropriate components and design circuits based on voltage, current, size, and cost considerations.
- Expertise in microprocessor and microcontroller-based low-noise analog and digital circuit design.
- Advanced knowledge of PCB layout techniques to mitigate EMI and implement power-saving strategies for battery-operated circuits.
- Strong problem-solving skills and creativity in designing embedded systems.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- A proactive approach to work with a demonstrated ability to lead and manage tasks effectively.
- Experience working with biometric systems (i.e., fingerprint readers, facial recognition technology) is a plus.
