Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Network Engineering to join a dynamic and growing organization. This leadership role will be pivotal in designing, implementing, maintaining, and managing a scalable, secure network infrastructure. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Information Security team to ensure our network architecture adheres to the highest security standards, protecting data integrity across all systems. This position also involves managing a talented team of network engineers, fostering growth and operational excellence within the department.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
  • Develop and implement secure, scalable network architectures that align with business needs.
  • Collaborate with the Information Security team to integrate security protocols, such as firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and ongoing optimization of network hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring high network performance and availability.
  • Maintain detailed network documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and security best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits and security assessments.
  • Manage and mentor a team of network engineers, providing guidance, performance management, and professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior network engineering or architecture role.
  • Strong knowledge of network architecture, protocols, and security best practices.
  • Experience with network hardware (i.e., routers, switches, and firewalls) and network software (i.e., VPNs and IDS/IPS).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Previous experience managing a team is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications (i.e., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, and CompTIA Network+) are highly desirable.
