Job Description:
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to join the Information Technology Services division. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage multiple projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, quality, and cost constraints. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and evolving environment, delivering business value while leveraging effective project management methodologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Analyze project proposals, determining timelines, funding limitations, and processes for successful project execution.
- Develop project plans that include deliverables, milestones, and necessary activities.
- Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Facilitate communication with staff and stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Make informed decisions quickly and effectively, ensuring project progress is maintained even in the face of challenges.
- Oversee the execution of project plans, ensuring that milestones are met and that project activities remain within scope and budget.
- Monitor the quality, integrity, and consistency of project content.
- Establish standards for project reporting and documentation.
- Continuously evaluate project management performance to identify areas for improvement and drive higher capability in project portfolio management.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of IT experience, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities and commitment to addressing business challenges.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a project management role, managing multiple projects or overseeing large-scale projects.
- At least 3 years of experience with business unit-facing projects, requiring sensitivity to business needs and the ability to assess and manage risks.
- Proven track record in leading project teams, managing tasks, communicating effectively, and ensuring project objectives are met.
- Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, milestones, and budgets while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Proficiency with project management methodologies, including PMI, Agile, or similar frameworks.
- Expertise in project planning tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, and ServiceNow.
- Strong understanding of business needs, IT solutions, and how emerging technologies can drive digital business transformation.
- Solid analytical skills to identify complex problems and create effective solutions while evaluating risks.
- Strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and resolve conflicts diplomatically.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey project updates clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
- Project Management certification and training are desirable (i.e., PMP, Agile).
