Our client is seeking an experienced Logistician to join their team. This role involves working on high-visibility projects that demand expertise in acquisition and life cycle logistics within a secure environment. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) logistics operations, acquisition processes, and program support planning. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Direct, develop, and manage logistics operations in support of specified missions, weapons systems, or other complex programs.
- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate logistics actions to ensure timely delivery of program requirements.
- Identify and analyze resource needs, including manpower, funding, materials, facilities, and services.
- Align logistics requirements with program objectives to ensure operational readiness and sustainability.
- Coordinate with functional specialists to define requirements and develop integrated support plans.
- Lead logistics planning efforts and oversee implementation of life cycle sustainment strategies.
- Conduct or support assessments such as Logistics Health Assessments (LHA) and Product Support Business Case Analyses (PS-BCA).
- Prepare and maintain Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP) and other key program documentation.
- Ensure compliance with government policies for GFE programs and the tracking of accountable property.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in acquisition and logistics support.
- In-depth knowledge of the DoD acquisition lifecycle and product support planning across all phases.
- Demonstrated experience with DoD 5000 series acquisition policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with the DoD’s Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements and Product Support Manager (PSM) Guidebook.
- Proficiency in program planning, funding processes, and logistics information systems.
- Experience in coordinating cross-functional logistics activities and leading complex projects.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio and Project.
- Due to the nature of the work, an active Top-Secret clearance is required.
