Job Description:
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Security Analyst to support their security programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing access control, the management of classified materials, and ensuring adherence to security policies to meet the system's security objectives. In this role, you will manage the security of physical spaces, personnel, and digital assets, while assessing the effectiveness of security controls. You will also play a vital part in the documentation and reporting of security operations and maintenance activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee facility access control procedures, assist with construction and renovation efforts, and draft and implement construction security plans to ensure a secure environment.
- Manage the creation, movement, and destruction of classified materials and digital media, ensuring compliance with established guidelines and regulations.
- Facilitate the indoctrination and debriefing processes, maintain personnel files, manage reporting requirements, and coordinate incoming and outgoing external visits in accordance with security protocols.
- Conduct annual training programs, facility access training, and Operations Security (OPSEC) awareness sessions to ensure all personnel are knowledgeable about security practices.
- Investigate and document security incidents, identify root causes, and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Ensure that the organization complies with operational security standards and emergency action plans to respond effectively to any threats or incidents.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or a minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in roles such as Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO), Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO), Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO), or Program Security Officer (PSO).
- Ability to read, understand, and apply government regulations, policies, and procedures, including DoD SAP/SCI Community and Intelligence Community directives, NISPOM 32 CFR Part 117, and applicable ICDs.
- Familiarity with security management software such as SIMS and government databases like DISS (Defense Information Security System), along with proficiency in business software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Office Suite.
- The candidate should be adaptable, comfortable responding to off-hours emergencies, and open to occasional local or overnight travel as needed (infrequent, but possible).
- Due to the nature of the work, an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required. Additionally, candidates must have active SCI access or have had access within the last 18 months.
- Successfully adjudicated counterintelligence scope polygraph, adjudicated within the previous 4 years. Consent to undergoing a government polygraph examination is required.
