Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Architect to join a dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who thrives in designing and optimizing network infrastructure to ensure high performance, security, and scalability. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of network architecture, protocols, and technologies, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
  • Design and develop network architecture solutions that meet business requirements while adhering to industry standards.
  • Design integrated network architectures across multiple services and platforms to ensure seamless interoperability within the organization's network infrastructure, covering areas such as campus LAN, wireless, global network interconnectivity, IP management, network security, data centers, load balancing, and research networks.
  • Develop technology migration plans to transition to new architectures with minimal user disruption.
  • Implement a comprehensive monitoring and reporting system to optimize network operations and enhance overall network efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and other departments to integrate network solutions with existing systems and applications.
  • Maintain clear, up-to-date network architecture documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures, with annotations for easy execution by team members.
  • Stay current with the latest network technologies and trends, offering recommendations for improvements and innovations.
  • Integrate network security technologies and mitigation strategies that comply with organizational security policies, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Mentor design and operational engineers and provide guidance to other IT team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network architecture and design.
  • Strong knowledge of network routing and switching protocols such as BGP, EVPN, and VXLAN.
  • Expertise in wireless LAN architecture and deployment.
  • Proficient in network automation and orchestration.
  • Extensive experience with network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, IPAM, and wireless technologies.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and management systems.
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts and infrastructure systems, including network closet standards and fiber plant deployment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications, such as JNCIE-ENT, JNCIP-MistAI, CCIE Routing, and CCIE Wireless, are highly desirable.
